Terms of Use
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the HebrewBites team, Israel ("we") about using the HebrewBites app. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. Questions: vadim@hebrewbites.com.
What HebrewBites is
HebrewBites helps you learn Hebrew with word cards and exercises and with practice phone calls with an AI conversation partner. Feedback and scores are generated by artificial intelligence: they help you learn but may be inaccurate and are not an official assessment of your language level.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the app.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password safe. If you suspect someone else is using your account, change your password and contact us.
- You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete account.
Free access and Premium
The free plan includes some card sets and 5 minutes of AI calls per day. Premium unlocks all card sets, side 4 of the cards (spoken practice with speech checking) and 15 minutes of calls per day.
- Premium is a monthly subscription through the App Store or Google Play. The price is shown in the app before purchase and depends on your country.
- Payment is charged when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically every month and is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless you cancel earlier.
- You can cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Free trial: 7 days of Premium, free and without a card, once per account. After it ends you return to the free plan; no subscription starts automatically.
- Refunds follow the rules of the store where you subscribed.
- Call minutes reset every day and do not roll over.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to access other people's accounts, bypass plan limits or interfere with the app.
- Do not use AI calls to create abusive, illegal or harmful content.
- Do not copy or distribute app materials (cards, recordings, call scenarios) outside your personal learning.
If you break these rules, we may limit your access or delete your account.
Content and rights
Cards, audio, illustrations, call scenarios and the curriculum belong to us or our partners and are provided for your personal, non-commercial learning. Your notes and answers remain yours; you allow us to process them to run the app as described in the Privacy Policy.
Liability
We work to keep the app available and free of errors, but provide it "as is" and do not guarantee a particular learning outcome. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses related to using the app.
App Store
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its support.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes in the app or by email in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and disputes are heard in the competent courts of Tel Aviv, unless the law of your country gives you other rights.
